Terms of Agreement examines how we negotiate belonging: what we give, what we protect, and what we’ve already inherited.

Terms of Agreement takes a personal and sometimes humorous look at the masks (or pants) we wear every day, why we put them on, and what we're protecting underneath. This work holds pieces of Adie and her social experiences of being an “inside-outsider” accompanied by a soundtrack of herFilipina-American upbringing all wrapped up in a world she’s only lightly familiar with - corporate life. It moves through the tension between needing space and needing community, between showing up for oneself and showing up for others. Culture becomes a familiar place to land, something to relax into when everything else feels uncertain.

Terms of Agreement is an evening built in collaboration with the dancers of the piece and was developed during the 2026 Spring CalArts Reef Residency.
