About the Work

Partnered by the sounds of percussionist Henry Ives, Suite No. 1 reimagines classical movement vocabulary through an abstract lens within a technical and prescribed space. Adie approaches the ballet vernacular with a neo-classical and Forsythe-esque attitude, and drives the piece forward with impulse and interplay.
